Qnity Electronics And Solstice Advanced Materials Spin Off Into S&P 500

It’s a big week for big spinoffs, with two new spinoffs immediately joining the S&P 500.

Honeywell(HON) will complete its spinoff of Solstice Advanced Materials(SOLS) first with the Solstice spinoff joining the S&P 500 tomorrow, October 30,2025.  Solstice stock will replace CarMax(KMX) in the index on October 31. CarMax will move into the S&P SmallCap 600, replacing USANA Health Sciences(USNA) which will no longer be in any S&P index.

Honeywell, a Dow Jones Industrial Average component, will remain in the index with a price adjustment and an adjustment to the index divisor to reflect the Solstice spinoff.

Meanwhile, DuPont(DD) will complete its spinoff of Qnity Electronics(Q) on November 1. Qnity stock will be added to the S&P 500 on Monday, November 3, 2025 replacing Eastman Chemical(EMN). On November 4, Eastman will join the S&P SmallCap 600, replacing Caleres(CAL), which will no longer be in any S&P index.

Caleres is the former Brown Shoe Company, once well-known for its Buster Brown mascot. Today, the company’s main business is its chain of Famous Footwear stores.

    HON hasn’t been a DJIA stock since May of 2021 when it became a NASDAQ stock. For someone that researches stocks you are an ejit.
